Sponsorship support opportunities are available to interested organizations wishing to contribute to the carbon reduction practices implemented at the symposium (such as the webcast) or purchase of carbon offset credits.
Carbon Neutral Conference:
In keeping with the carbon reduction goal of the topic, the symposium will be making every effort to reduce its carbon footprint, including such things as offering a simultaneous webcast of the event to increase accessibility of the conference without requiring travel.
The program included information on:
- carbon sequestration opportunities on farm and forest lands
- measurement and verification techniques
- trading program operational issues
- water quality co-benefits of agricultural carbon sequestration activities.

The program included a panel discussion of representatives from agencies developing or considering various forms of carbon trading programs.
There was a reception following the formal segment of the agenda to allow for additional discussion among participants.
