What do you like about the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources?
The thing I like the most about this college is all of the opportunities available for students, and all of the hand on experience that you get in your introduction classes. Whether it is internships or research with your professors, there is always something that this college has to offer. In your first year you are taking classes that involve your degree, and in those classes you are going to be on the farm, or in the lab getting hands on experience, which was a deciding factor for me. Finally, this college puts on great events whether it is Ag day, or just individual tours for incoming students.
What is your most memorable AG or UD experience?
My most memorable UD experience so far has been freshman year housing…when I initially got my housing assignment via email before coming to move it and it said Dickinson C, I had no idea what that was because they didn’t even show it on the tour. But I came to find out that it was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. My 10 closest friends all came from people on my floor last year, and it was the perfect place to live my freshman year because everyone knew everybody, and I now have 30 friends that I will have for the rest of my life.
What are your career goals?
I would like to attend Veterinary school, and get my Doctorate degree as a doctor of Veterinary medicine. I would also like to pursue a Ph.D., but I have not decided what I am going to pursue yet. Once I have my degree as a Doctor I would like to practice, really on any animal, as long as I am able to help them. I would also like to do something in wildlife ecology and conservation on the side.
What is an interesting or unusual fact about you?
An interesting fact about myself is that I have been to 23 of the 30 Major League Baseball stadiums.
