After millions spent, MD’s solution for excess manure still elusive

Three 5-gallon buckets hold samples of different soil amendments produced by Lambertson’s anaerobic digester. He hopes to sell the material to farmers and garden centers. Helping farmers find new ways to use manure beyond fertilizing fields is not as easy as you’d think. Trying new technologies and techniques can be expensive and time-consuming. And as University of Delaware Extension Agronomist Jarrod Miller suggests, what can work in the laboratory might not be as successful in the field. Read the article in Bay Journal.
