Anjolaoluwa Popoola

Anjolaoluwa Popoola is a Biochemistry and Mathematics double major at Lincoln University. She studied the transmission of Listeria monocytogenes, an important foodborne pathogen, biofilms between blueberries under the guidance of Dr. Rolf Joerger with the intent to determine how to reduce the amount of transfer.

She wants to go on to earn both a PhD and an MD, and finds the study of microorganisms to be very interesting. This internship will be a path to understand the kind of research that she will continue to do as she furthers her education.
