What do you like about the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources?

Other than the great amount of hands-on experience we are granted within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, I also love all of the staff within our college. Every person within CANR is extremely knowledgeable, has tons of outside experience, and is passionate about their work, which makes it even more enjoyable as a student!

What is your most memorable AG or UD experience?

My most memorable CANR experience (so far, I'm sure I'll have so many more) is raising a dairy calf my first semester. I found it very interesting to keep track of their growth, weight, and health, as well as learn some of the work that goes into taking care of these animals. We learned how to make their milk replacer and were also taught how to keep track of the amount of feed they should be getting, and how you know it's time for this amount to increase. It was very cool to feel some form of responsibility and pride while watching your little calf grow and develop!

What are your career goals?

My career goal is to become a veterinarian - but in terms of specializing, I am still trying to determine what interests me most!

What is an interesting or unusual fact about you?

My eyes are different colors!

What is your favorite book, movie or song?

My favorite movie is Good Will Hunting.
