Although native to Sicily, it is the most cold tolerant fig tree available. Medium sized, light, mahogany-colored, sweet figs produced on established growth in early summer; produces figs on new growth in early fall. Protect if growing in a container by overwintering in a garage or frost-free area. Endures Zone 6, but can tolerate Zone 5 if given protection. Self-pollinating.
