Hosta ‘Humpback Whale’

$14.00

Common Name: Hosta

Pot Size: 1 g

This cultivar comes to the trade from the late, great, “Queen of Hostas” Mildred Seaver, who registered 95 new varieties during her lifetime. ‘Humpback Whale’ is a large, dome-shaped hosta with blue-green, corrugated, heart-shaped leaves that are most vibrant in spring. It produces blue-green flower scapes topped with near-white, bell-shaped blooms in early summer. Hostas are popular for their versatility in the garden, with their subtle colors, tall flower scapes, and large leaves filling a unique niche. They are excellent for covering fading bulb foliage and thrive in urban areas, even in polluted environments.
