Common Name: Ostrich Fern
Pot Size: 1g
Vase-shaped, large, native fern with beautifully textured fronds. Specialized upright, fertile fronds appear mid-summer to fall and persist through winter, turning a striking bronze color and creating a dramatic effect in the woodland garden. Extremely tough and durable, excellent for naturalizing and stabilizing streambanks and wet soils. Will spread and form dense colonies. Deer and rabbit resistant. Fiddleheads (emerging fronds) are edible when cooked and can be enjoyed similar to asparagus.
