Small and densely branched shrub with leaves resembling maple. White umbels are produced in spring followed by attractive blue fruit in fall. Readily spreads to form a colony. Excellent selection for wildlife attraction as pollinators visit blooms and fruit is enjoyed by birds in the fall and winter months. Also a larval host for several butterfly species.
