Viola pedata ‘Eco Artist Palette’

Common Name: Birdfoot Violet, Mountain Pansy

Plant Size: 1 g

This cultivar of our native Viola pedata is known for its distinct bi-color flowers with deep purple and lilac blue petals hovering above dainty dissected foliage, giving rise to its common name birdfoot violet. The ‘Eco Artist Palette’ selection blooms prolifically in spring over a dense clump of foliage with sporadic re-bloom into late fall. Unlike most violets, this species enjoys full sun and is well behaved in the garden.
