Pests with Dr. Brian Kunkel
Scouting for insect pests is an important part for successful IPM in Brian Kunkelhorticulture, so what do you look for?  We will cover how plants normally look compared to plants with issues.  We will also discuss the presence of insects that require little intervention compared to those that need a strong management plan.

Nancy Fisher Gregory earned a Master of Science in Plant Pathology from Penn State University, and spent several years at the Tropical Research and Education Center in Florida, followed by 26 years at University of Delaware. Nancy led the UD Plant Diagnostic Clinic and pest detection efforts for Delaware, taught courses on plant diseases, presented seminars, and in retirement continues to teach.

Dr. Brian Kunkel received his B.S. from Northern Kentucky University his M.S. from the University of Kentucky and his PhD from The Ohio State University in 2003.  He worked briefly with TruGreen ChemLawn before beginning his post-doctoral work with the USDA-ARS in Georgia. Brian began his current position at the University of Delaware in 2006 where he has worked on various projects studying armored and soft scale species, redheaded flea beetles, whiteflies, mealybugs, brown marmorated stink bugs, thrips, and other various ornamental pests.

Cancellation Policy: UDBG reserves the right to cancel any program if necessary. Refunds take approximately three to four weeks to process. There will be no refunds after a class or series begins. Payment will be refunded if cancellation is made 10 business days prior to class.
