    Submit Presentation

    Only projects in their last two years will have a time slot for an oral presentation, depending upon time constraints. Please, only one talk per project. All others will have an opportunity to present a poster. You will receive an email at a later date stating whether you are confirmed for a talk or poster.  Also note that we are sending this announcement to the lead PD only, so please circulate it to other members of your research team. We also encourage your project graduate students and post-docs to attend.

Univeristy of Delaware Clayton Hall

The USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) will host the FY 2018 Project Directors Annual Meeting for AFRI’s Water for Agriculture and Foundational Soil and Water Programs at the University of Delaware. The objectives of the conference are twofold: first, to provide a forum for Project Directors to share results and future plans from their projects; and second, to strengthen the projects currently funded by allowing Project Directors to network with each other. It further provides an opportunity for project directors to showcase their work, success stories and outcomes, and network with other researchers.

The meeting will be held on October 1-3, 2018 at the University of Delaware, Newark, DE.

Field Tour

St John Estuary Reserve Center Photo of BuildingThe one-day field trip (Monday, Oct 1, 2018) will include visits to NIFA funded projects at Newark Agricultural Experimental Station and St John Estuary at Dover Delaware. It is a full day tour and will start at 9:00 AM and will end late afternoon (for those attending dinner) and night (for those going to the brewery).

Attendees will be transported though Delaware Shuttle buses. Drinking water and packed lunch will be provided. After the conclusion of the trip, attendees will be given an opportunity to visit Dogfish Head Brewery in Milford, DE for the tour and the dinner. Attendees who wish to return to hotel directly after the tour will be provided a separate transportation than that of going to brewery. Please note that the dinner and related expenses at the brewery is not covered.

Additional details of the field visits and itinerary will be provided on the day of the tour.
