Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be a print catalog in the future?

There will no longer be a physical catalog but the online catalog and store now provide customers with our full plant selection along with pictures and descriptions. We are also able to make inventory and selection updates at any time.

Can I use more than one search term?

Yes, the catalog will pull up records with either or both of the requested search terms.

I am not a member or a patron. May I use the online store?

The online store is reserved only for those with active memberships or patron status. Please see our plant sale landing page for more information on the 2022 online store opening and closing times.

Will I need an account to make purchases in the online store?

Purchases may be made without making an account, however we recommend creating one with the store as it will save time during check out.

Will the store be able to recognize if I am a current member or not?

Unfortunately, no. Visit our membership page to renew before making purchases in the online store. You will receive a reminder to renew two weeks before your membership lapses. If you have further questions, please reach out to valannb@udel.edu.

Is there a minimum for shopping in the online store?

Yes. Customers must make a $50 minimum purchase (including discounts) for each order even if placing multiple orders under the same account.

If patron plants are left over in the store following the online patron shopping session, will they be available for members?

Patron plants will only be available for patrons to purchase in the online store and during in-person shopping on the designated Patron night (Wednesday, April 27th 4pm-6pm).

Are the plants currently in my online shopping cart guaranteed not to be sold?

Much like purchasing concert tickets, the items in the cart are not held indefinitely. We recommend placing multiple orders for highly requested and low quantity items to prevent them from being sold while shopping for other items.

Is there a minimum purchase order for in-person shopping?

Nope! Buy as little or as much as you would like.

I may be away during the sale and pickup date. Is there a way I can pay for a purchase and pick it up at another time?

If you place and online order but cannot pick up your order on the designated day, you may pick up your order during either of our public sale times, Friday April 29th from 3pm-6pm or April 30th from 10am-3pm.
